Sharon Lawless is a producer, director and writer living in Dublin. Most of her career has been in the media, apart from a few years running nightclubs (Hello Bono). Her TV series ‘Adoption Stories’ ran for seven years on Virgin Media Television and her book of the same name was published in 2016. She has spent five years on the case of Fr. Niall Molloy and her two-part documentary aired on RTE in September 2021. She is working on a documentary series about death and grief based in Our Lady’s Hospice for Virgin Media Television, and developing a once-off documentary about illegal adoption, a feature film on the life of international rally driver Rosemary Smith, and a TV drama series about mother and baby homes. She hopes to do a comedy project really soon.
