Ann Ingle was born in London in 1939 and became an Irish citizen in 1977. Ann returned to education and graduated with a History/English degree from Trinity College when she was in her 50s. In 2019 she ghostwrote Driven ( Harper Collins Ireland) for her good friend racing driver Rosemary Smith. Ann lives in Dublin and is a widow with eight adult children.
