Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh has been a distinguished figure in Irish television since she began her career at just eighteen years of age. She had a groundbreaking role in Irish language programming from the onset of her broadcasting journey.
Bláthnaid recently completed her first season of Bláthnaid Libh on Raidió na Gaeltachta, a season that earned her the prestigious Gradaim Cumarsáide an Oireachtais for Program of the Year. She also showcases her acting talents in the series Crisis Eile, produced by Wildfire Productions for TG4.
Throughout her career, Bláthnaid has worked across a wide range of genres on Television, Radio and on social media platforms, from Current Affairs and Youth Programming to Factual and Entertainment television.

Among her most impactful work to date is her documentary on Female Genital Mutilation and her acclaimed Moment of Truth interviews, where she has delved into complex topics such as adoption and abortion.
Beyond her broadcasting achievements, Bláthnaid engages effortlessly in front of live audiences as a presenter, facilitator, and MC for various events and award ceremonies. She has hosted numerous notable events, including Tourism Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day at Home livestream, Lá Mór na Gaeilge, the Traveller Pride Awards, and the Meath Business and Tourism Awards.
More recently Bláthnaid joined the RTÉ cornerstone show, Nationwide team in 2020 and she relishes traveling throughout Ireland, discovering an eclectic mix of news, views and events, telling the stories of the people for the people.
