Clare was last seen on stage in the remount tour of Livin Dred’s production of Trad – she received an Irish Times Theatre Award nomination for her performance as well as for her performance in Much Ado About Nothing for Rough Magic. She can now be seen on screen in RTÉ’s Fair City .
Other recent stage appearances include Rough’s Magic’s tour of Much Ado About Nothing , the Abbey theatres highly successful production of The Unmanageable Sisters as well as Angela’s Ashes based on the novel by Frank McCourt at the Bord Gais theatre and the Grand Opera House in Belfast. She has worked with a variety of theatre companies performing in Ireland and internationally including Druid Theatre, The Abbey Theatre, Rough Magic, HotForTheatre, Verdant Productions, Deeramber Productions, Barabbas, Lane Productions, The Performance Corporation, Tall Tales, The Corn Exchange, Pan-Pan, PBM, The Theatre Project, Monkeyshine, The Ark and TEAM.
Recent productions include: Minding Frankie (The Everyman/Gaiety Theatre), Centenary (RTE/Cois Ceim); Big Maggie (Druid), The Dead – The Opera (Performance Corporation-Project); The Train (Rough Magic-Lime Tree Theatre/Dublin Theatre Festival) for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Irish Times Theatre Awards; DruidShakespeare (Druid Theatre Company-Lincoln Festival,New York/National tour), Moll (Verdant-Gaiety Theatre); Beautiful Dreamers (ANUproductions/PerformanceCorporation); I♥Alice♥I (Internationall tour – Winner of Best Female Performer for this role in the Absolut Fringe Festival 2010); Bernarda’s House) (Dowager- Tiger Dublin Fringe 2014) for which she was nominated for Best Female Performer; Crude Mechanicals (Bewley’s Cafe Theatre/Theatre at the Savoy); Happiness (Bewley’s Cafe Theatre), Assassins (Rough Magic Seeds-Project Arts Centre); A Galway Girl (Bewleys Cafe Theatre/Galway Arts Festival).”
